Perhaps the most important stage before packaging a ship is the cleaning stage. There shall be no wax, brightener, dirt, silica gel and sticker residue on board. First, wash the pear with water with neutral ph value. After complete drying, wipe the ship’s side with wax and grease remover, and then dilute it to 70% with isopropyl glycol. These cleaners can be purchased at any hardware store.
Application first packaging
It is important to use knife free tape instead of a practical knife to trim the edges of the wrap. This way, the blade will not leave traces on the ship. It is especially important in fiberglass wire or painted aluminum wire. If one day you decide to remove the package, you don’t want to see the scar on the ship!
Don’t panic when using plastic packaging. Take your time. If possible, ask your friend to take the plastic and put it on the boat. Avery Dennison’s packaging film is very thick and can be disassembled and repainted at any time. With the help of the hot air gun, wrinkles and bubbles can be easily eliminated. Apply vinyl to the surface of the boat using the scraper provided in the boat kit. Move down from the center to the bottom and up to the side.
Once wrapped, use knife free tape to cut around the edges. To prevent water from entering under the package, use edge sealing tape. The water pressure pushes the water up to the edge of the package. The edge sealing tape can prevent this situation.
Then you can stick the registration number sticker on both sides of the boat on the top of the package. When placing the registration label, please ensure that the label is located on the cooling line and is clearly visible within a distance of at least 30 meters.
